We hope you and your loved ones are well and send our hearty regards.
We are reaching out to you to thank you for your understanding and ongoing support through these uncertain times. As the government announces easing of measures that affect certain industries, dentistry still operates under the “No change yet” banner.
Please rest assured that our team at Ruddington remain well and in good spirits but equally eager to return to delivering the quality care you have been accustomed to. We remain available to give advice on self-help, analgesics and if appropriate we can prescribe additional Analgesics and Antibiotics. If none of these measures is considered appropriate, we can refer you on to regional “Urgent Dental Care Centres”. These are dental practices that have been given supplies of specific face masks which should enable them to carry out face to face emergency treatments if you fit their extremely strict criteria for “dental emergency”.
The limiting factor to resuming dental care is not a lack of professional ambition but the constraints of the public health measures currently in place. We remain at the mercy of the lifting of current public health measures in place and anticipate a transition phase towards the delivery of routine dental care. There is no current clarity on the timing of this and we will endeavour to keep you posted once we have any further information.
In the first instance we will contact patients who have been in touch with us about a dental problem they are experiencing, along with patients who have partially completed treatment from before the lockdown. Following this, we will contact patients for more routine care once we are advised this is allowed to be provided and once we are able to obtain the upgraded PPE that will be required.
